Pierce says knew funny things all the time with his toddler’s lisp, and I am at a loss.  Do I correct it so that he doesn’t go off to kindergarten needing speech therapy and a bodyguard?  Or, do I relish the sweetness of his little voice and it’s unpracticed nuance’s that inadvertently create new compound sounds—he’ll correct himself eventually, right?

Here are the latest additions to Pierce-ster’s Dictionary:

Frampa=grandpa

Slip-slops= flip-flops

Fyfly=butterfly

Zizzard=lizard

Yightening McFween=Lightening McQueen

Puter=computer

Fress=press

Cepticons=Decepticons

Fransformers=Transformers

Opmus Frime=Optimus Prime  (Mikey can’t even get this one right—he says Oc-timus Prime)

Piderman=spiderman

I yub you!=I think you get this one! J

Bad-wees=batteries—as in “My hoo hoo’s broken, it needs new bad-wees.”  After trying to use the potty and not being able to squeeze out a drop.

Tunder Torm-Thunderstorm

Don’ take Mikey to ‘Cool=Pierce says this everyday on the drive to school.

Wan to nuggle!=I want to snuggle

Wan to yub you!=I hear this one every time he hurts himself and needs a little comforting.

Aunti-sota= Auntie Good Times plus Minnesota and sometimes regular old soda

Motor-Kycle=motorcycle

Heh-opter=helicopter
